Job Title: Systems Integration Technician

Job Description

As a Systems Integration Technician, you will be responsible for building, testing, and troubleshooting subassemblies or finished products using layouts, wiring diagrams, and written instructions. You will also configure computer clients, servers, and switches in a network environment. Your role will involve performing system and subassembly inspections to verify quality requirements and assisting other personnel in performing Acceptance Test duties with customer representatives.

Responsibilities

Build, test, and troubleshoot subassemblies or finished products using layouts, wiring diagrams, and written instructions.Configure computer clients, servers, and switches in a network environment.Perform system and subassembly inspections to verify quality requirements.Assist other personnel in performing Acceptance Test duties with customer representatives.Help diagnose system or unit problems and suggest and implement production improvements.Assist engineers in performing and validating test procedures.Build prototype and new design hardware assemblies as required per engineering specifications.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in electronics, routers, and switches.Experience in system configuration and testing.Troubleshooting skills with electrical components and telecommunications.Knowledge of power supply systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2-year technical degree.Knowledge of AC/DC electrical system connections and electronic hardware assembly techniques.Experience with system configuration documentation to assemble and test telecommunications equipment.Working knowledge of computer hardware, software, and peripherals.Experience loading software applications on client and server computers.

Work Environment

Work in a small lab and office/engineering environment with a team of three technicians. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, during normal business hours, with flexible start times between 7:30-9:00 am.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
