As a Systems Engineer Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customer.
● Designs server and application architectures; performs administrative operation and maintenance functions of server hardware and software
● Maintains system security and executes common practices and procedures; monitors usage statistics and logs
● Institutes troubleshooting and incident response procedures. Troubleshoots system related problems.
● Recommends future direction or projects to management. Provides expertise and direction in the development or modification of software programs and applications to enhance an operating system

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

The Systems Engineer Senior must have:Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.Experience: 5+ years of Systems Engineering functions/rolesSecurity clearance level: TS/SCI security clearanceUS citizenship requiredRole requirements:Has experience with Virtualization, Windows, Storage, Linux, and McAfeeExperience with ICAM, PAM, Zero-trust solutions is a plusExchange, SharePoint, SQL expertise a plusSpecific knowledge of RHEL, Splunk, OpenShift is a plus
