CACI is seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer to support Operations and Maintenance (O&M), limited Research and Development (R&D), and procurement of data and information-processing capabilities under the SCION IV contract. This role supports the United States Space Force Combat Forces Command (CFC) within a fast-paced, mission-driven operational environmentThis is an execution-focused role supporting operational systemsYou will work as part of an interdisciplinary engineering team providing direct support to operational units across the globe.The role blends systems engineering discipline with hands-on execution, supporting real-world mission systems rather than purely theoretical designsYou will provide engineering expertise across a varied set of hardware, software, and expeditionary equipment.Communicate highly technical information to all levels of the USSF’s CFC teams and subordinate unitsYou will have the opportunity to work with both co-located and remote engineering teams across the globe, along with providing on-site support to exercise events throughout the yearResponsibilities:
Provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support for operational systems, including large fixed antenna systems, portable and expeditionary antenna systems, and associated RF and test equipmentTroubleshoot RF, power, networking, and software issues affecting system availability or performancePerform hands-on system installations, upgrades, and sustainment at geographically dispersed locationsConfigure systems to meet mission- and customer-specific requirements, often under time constraintsInvestigate degraded or intermittent system performance and execute tuning, optimization, or corrective actionsConduct on-site system verification, acceptance testing, and operational turnoverMaintain configuration baselines, redlines, and technical documentation in the Configuration Management Knowledge BaseWrite and update technical documentation, briefings, drawings, and delivery artifactsCoordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to track parts, validate spares, and support sustainment activitiesCommunicate technical status, risks, and limitations clearly to engineers, operators, and leadershipSupport exercises and operational surges that may require evenings, weekends, or rapid reprioritizationThis is not a desk-only role. Engineers in this position are expected to be comfortable working in operational spaces and at remote sites with limited reach-backQualifications:
Required:
Active TS/SCI clearance (polygraph may be required for Special Access Programs)Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 2–4 years of relevant experience, or 7+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degreeWillingness to learn, teach, and share information in both co-located and distributed team environmentsWorking understanding of RF systems, including design, propagation, and receiver performanceKnowledge of systems engineering fundamentals applied to operational environmentsExperience producing technical documentation such as technical volumes, white papers, and version description documentsStrong attention to detail, active listening skills, and clear written and verbal communicationSelf-motivated and able to work independently at remote or operational sitesAbility to lift 50+ pounds to support system installation, testing, and pack-out activities

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
