Our client, a leading technology firm, is seeking a Systems Engineer II / Lab Manager to join their team. As a Systems Engineer II / Lab Manager, you will be part of the engineering department supporting various testing teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a passion for innovation, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Systems Engineer II / Lab Manager
**Location:** Seattle, WA
**Pay Range:** C$60/HR on Experis W2
*Not open to C2C
**What's the Job?**
+ Perform nodes firmware updates and device reboots as needed.
+ Audit device inventory and update tracking systems regularly.
+ Coordinate with test teams on device requirements and oversee device maintenance.
+ Document and report any device malfunctions while ensuring all test devices are properly charged and connected.
+ Support special testing projects and assist with automation infrastructure updates.
**What's Needed?**
+ 2-4 years of experience deploying and operating Linux or UNIX variants in a datacenter environment.
+ Strong system troubleshooting skills and proficiency in automation via Python or
+ Good understanding of standard internet protocols such as TCP, IP, and HTTP.
+ Experience with Linux, UNIX and Mac OS
+ Demonstrable grasp of security best practices in server configuration and access controls.
+ Experience in building SQL queries and managing large-scale disk subsystems.
