GovCIO is currently hiring for System Engineer for our HUD proposal. The System Engineer implements computer system requirements by defining and analyzing system problems; designing and testing standards and solutions. This position is a fully remote position.
Responsibilities Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computersParticipates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design conceptsInstalls all new hardware, systems, and software for networksDesigning and configuring computer hardware, and operating system software, and other applicationsGenerates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test proceduresMonitors system performance and implements performance tuningReviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirementsMaintain and administer related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurationsPerform disaster recovery operations and data backups when requiredProtect data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measuresTroubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problemsReplace faulty hardware components when requiredMaintain, configure, and monitor security applicationsCreating and maintaining technical diagrams, documentation, and other configuration items QualificationsBachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field with 7+ years of system engineering experience (or commensurate experience)

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
