Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration offers an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Principal Engineer Systems – Global Level II Systems Engineer (25-516) to join our team of talented and diverse professionals. Based at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels.

Position Overview:

This position is based at Schriever AFB (Task Order 60 and Task Order 3). The successful candidate will diagnose, mitigate, and troubleshoot issues and contribute as part of an on-site team providing 24x7 support for globally dispersed C2BMC application suites operating across various time zones. Essential Functions:
Will lead or participate in system troubleshooting, problem resolution, and maintenance, including on-site and remote telephonic supportWill serve as a subject matter expert for C2BMC applications, providing Level 2 troubleshooting, break/fix solutions, and preventive maintenance support, with regular interaction with remote C2BMC sites and varying levels of leadership within the C2BMC Command CenterMust be a proactive problem solver, capable of planning, coordinating, directing, and managing individual projects with minimal supervisionOur Level 2 Systems Engineers are empowered to think innovatively, from automating system provisioning to enhancing enterprise monitoringPosition usually is Mon - Fri: Potential surges may require on-call, evenings, and weekends support during system anomalies and/or testsPerforms other related duties and assignments as requiredBasic Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in STEM Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s degree (preferred) in a STEM-related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related STEM discipline with 4 years of relevant work experience
Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) at the time of application. The candidate is responsible for maintaining their DoD 8140 certification throughout the entire contract period.
Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued TS/SCI/SAP security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Willingness to travel up to 10% for business needs
Must also possess an active Computing Environment (CE) certification
Proven experience with:
Windows Domain Controllers
PKI infrastructure
Certificate management on Windows Domain Controllers is essential
Experience with Red Hat or other Linux-based server administration is required
Automated Patch Management for both Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux is required
Must be highly skilled in system administration, monitoring, application management, and automation to ensure efficient system delivery, optimal performance, uptime, and a robust cybersecurity posture
Possess strong knowledge and practical experience directing the assessment and development of:
Tactics
Techniques
Procedures (TTPs) and Operating Instructions (OIs) required to administer, operate, and manage services within C2BMC operational environments
Prior experience with virtualization and storage technologies, such as Nutanix or VMware products, and with automation using tools like Ansible, Bash, Perl, and PowerShell

Primary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
