You’ll join a collaborative, cross-functional team covering Federal and Defense customers in the German public sector. Reporting to the Senior SE Manager, you will work alongside Customer Systems Engineers and broader Cisco teams. You will foster innovation, drive solution adoption, and deliver lasting value to customers who are often thought leaders within their sectors.
Your Impact
As a Portfolio Systems Architect (Public Sector), you’ll be a key technical advisor and architect for large Federal and Defense accounts in Germany. You’ll drive the adoption of Cisco’s latest portfolio—networking, security, (cloud), automation, and collaboration—by designing innovative solutions tailored to the unique challenges of the public sector. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll shape the technical strategy for your accounts, accelerate digital transformation, and ensure the highest value from Cisco’s offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Account Teams to develop and execute customer-centric strategies that align technology solutions to business goalsProactively identify and create new business opportunities through direct customer engagement, workshops, and industry eventsAnalyze customer environments and translate business drivers and technical requirements into tailored solution architecturesPresent and demonstrate Cisco’s latest solutions, articulating unique business value for public sector organizationsCollaborate closely with internal teams (Sales, Architecture, CX, Engineering, Services, …) and external partners to deliver integrated, future-ready solutionsFacilitate deal progression by mobilizing the right resources and accelerating the sales cycleMaintain deep knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape to advise customers and inform go-to-market strategiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, establishing credibility through technical expertise and strategic insight.Minimum Qualifications
Experience as a Systems Architect or similar technical role in the networking or IT industryStrong expertise in Cisco networking (wireless, switching, routing), software-defined networking (SDN), and automationProficiency with SASE architectures and cloud technologies (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS); experience designing secure, scalable hybrid environmentsDemonstrated success leading complex, large-scale projects involving multiple technologies and integration pointsFluent in German and English: excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence technical and business audiencesPreferred Qualifications
