MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Systems Analyst Principal, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of GDIT's GCIO and Supply Chain organizations. You will play a crucial role as part of the team responsible for responsible for analyzing, maintaining, and optimizing warehouse and asset management systems. Your expertise will ensure the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of these critical systems to meet operational and business requirements.

Provide in-depth analysis and technical support of applications, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user supportMaintain system integrity by researching and installing application patches, performing configuration updates, and testing of new releasesMonitor system performance and recommend improvements to improve efficiency and effectivenessDiagnose and resolve system incidents, performance issues, and configuration errorsSupport multiple application platforms and work with database, infrastructure, networking, and cyber security teams to maintain operations and mitigate vulnerabilitiesDesign and support integrations with other enterprise systems, including mapping data elements, developing code, and transforming dataEscalate and coordinate with vendor and other support teams as necessaryAdhere to all security, change management and application management lifecycle policiesDetermine hardware, software, and system requirements to maintain operations and achieve business objectivesMeet with stakeholders, document requirements, user stories, and related artifacts to determine technical specificationsUnderstand warehouse and asset management business processes and apply expert functional knowledge and experience to ensure system configurations align with business operationsIdentify opportunities for automation and implement scripts or workflows to improve repetitive processesDevelop reports in multiple technologies and analyzes data to meet business needsUpdate technical documentation, product specifications, and training materialsMaintain a current knowledge of relevant technologies

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your initiative and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Analyst Principal must have:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related discipline. In lieu of degree, 12+ years of related experience required.Experience: 8+ years of related experienceRole requirements: Hands on experience installing, patching and troubleshooting server-based applications. Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems. Experience with vendor relationships, communicating technical configuration, and troubleshooting with vendors. Stay updated on the latest IT products, services, and solutions to remain at the forefront of industry trends. Demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills to ensure high-quality work. Act as a self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a distributed and hybrid team environment, collaborating effectively across various work settingsTechnical skills: Hands on experience required on at least 4 of the following:Microsoft Report Builder / SQL Server Report Server (SSRS) report authoringOracle PL/SQL and SQL Server Stored ProceduresSQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)Power BIXML, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript web development,C# .NET (MVC, Windows Forms, and Windows Services)WebLogicPreferred Skills: Knowledge of Oracle and SQL database management. Experience with Warehouse and Asset Management applications experience. Experience with Jaspersoft Studio.Location: This is a hybrid position working at our GDIT facility in Herndon, VA. Must be comfortable working onsite (3) days a week. Must be comfortable working to support with maintenance activities scheduled outside of normal working hours.U.S. Persons required
