Responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and ensuring the performance and availability of enterprise applications. This role involves proactive detection of issues, triaging alerts, coordinating with support teams, and ensuring smooth application operations across environments.
. Monitor application health and performance using tools such as New Relic, Splunk, CloudWatch, or equivalent.
. Track uptime, scheduled jobs, API availability, and system logs to ensure seamless operations.
. Acknowledge, categorize, and triage alerts from monitoring systems, escalating when necessary.
. Perform first-level troubleshooting for issues such as failed transactions, API errors, or email delivery failures.
. Validate system processes including data syncs, batch jobs, and integrations.
. Collaborate with application support, infrastructure, and vendor teams to resolve incidents.
. Document incidents, resolutions, and monitoring improvements for knowledge base and compliance.
. Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending monitoring enhancements and automation.
Qualifications
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
. 3–7 years of experience in application monitoring or IT operations.
. Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, New Relic, AppDynamics, CloudWatch).
. Basic knowledge of SQL, APIs, and scripting for troubleshooting.
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
. Good communication and coordination abilities.
Desired Skills
. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
. Knowledge of networking basics and application dependencies.
. Exposure to incident management frameworks (ITIL).
. Ability to work in 24x7 support environments or rotational shifts.
