Job Summary:
Provides strategic leadership and direction for enterprise-wide communications initiatives, including media relations, public engagement, digital platforms, and creative services. Develops and executes both short- and long-term communication strategies that align with the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities. Utilizes data-driven insights and organizational goals to guide decision-making and measure impact. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads, manages and mentors the communication team and strategic direction of multiple communication professionals across the organization, building a culture of high performance and collaboration within a dynamic and highly matrixed organization. Promotes teamwork by maintaining positive relationships and utilizing effective problem-solving skills.Oversees the full scope of internal and external communications and content creation through corporate communications, executive and employee communications, public relations, public affairs, through leadership and community relations.Ensures consistent and impactful messaging and storytelling that shapes and strengthens the organization's reputation, positions the organization as an innovative industry leader, top employer, and attractive business partner, and builds trust with patients, stakeholders, and the broader community.Drives public relations activities to support the direction and positioning of the organization. Builds relationships with key national media outlets and ensures messages reach key audiences.Creates, develops and drives an integrated, comprehensive public relations and community engagement plan that positions the organization in alignment with its brand, protects and enhances the organization's reputation across its markets and nationally, and supports strategic objectives.Creates and drives an integrated, comprehensive brand strategy and performance marketing program that positions the organization as the health system of choice across its markets, an industry innovator nationally, and supports strategic objectives.Partners with marketing leadership and team on the development of performance-driven marketing and communication strategies to increase brand awareness, patient acquisition, and market share.Assumes fiscal responsibility through budgetary planning and implementation. Establishes and monitors process improvement initiatives to achieve value-based outcome metrics.Oversees human resource management for the assigned area creating a culture of employee engagement. Ensures HR policies are administered consistently across function. Organizes departmental areas through appropriate structure and delegation of functions. Identifies succession planning needs, recruits, develops and manages performance, modeling actions for leaders within department.Performs other duties as assigned.
