8+ years of hands-on experience in Flight Management System (FMS) development, with strong focus on system engineering activities.Proven experience across the system V-cycle, including HLR definition, HLT development, system design, and system-level V&V for avionics embedded systems.Strong understanding of FMS architecture, functional decomposition, interfaces, and operational logic.Experience in preparing system artefacts such as design justifications, analysis notes, and compliance documentation.Solid knowledge of DO-178B/C standards and their application in system and software development.Good exposure to software development in ADA95/2012, including development, debugging, and verification, enabling a polyvalent system + software role.Experience with unit, integration, regression, and system testing, including interaction with test benches simulating aircraft cockpit environments.Familiarity with configuration management and development tools such as Git, GitLab, and JIRA.Strong understanding of SDLC, traceability, reviews, and quality processes.Excellent communication skills, ability to work with multi-site / global teams, and strong customer focus.Roles and Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities – FMS System Development
Contribute across the system V-cycle, starting from system requirements definition (HLR), HLT development, system design, and system V&V activities.Develop and maintain system-level artefacts, including technical analyses, design justifications, and compliance documentation.Ensure end-to-end traceability between system requirements, software requirements, tests, and verification evidence.Perform system-level verification and validation (V&V) to ensure functional correctness, safety, and certification compliance.Develop a strong understanding of complex FMS architectures, including requirements, algorithms, interfaces, operational logic, and system behaviors.Collaborate closely with software, IVV, and cross-functional teams to ensure robust system–software integration.Adhere strictly to DO-178B/C standards and defined SDLC processes.Identify, document, and communicate system risks, assumptions, opportunities, and improvement areas throughout the project lifecycle.Demonstrate a global mindset and customer commitment for successful execution of the project.Ensure delivery meets Quality, Schedule, and Cost (QSC) performance targets and project KPIs.Secondary Responsibilities – FMS Software Development (Good to have)
