Our client, a firm focused on development of manufacturing/automation lines for the automotive industry, is seeking a Systems Layout Specialist to join their team. As a Systems Layout Specialist, you will be part of the Production Engineering Team supporting Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will support the Engineering Team with required Simulation and System Layout activities throughout the design and build, line up the Simulation group at the start of the program and follow through to completion and maintain Robot Matrix. This is a very long-term contract position with 40-50 work weeks. It will not support H-1-B candidates. **Job Title:** Systems Layout Specialist **Location: Shelby Township, MI** **Pay:** $45-55/hr plus OT, benefits **Key Responsibilities** + System Layout design inhouse and outsource. + System layout safety equipment placement. Light Screens, Scanners, Drop Doors, etc... + Line up outsource Processing and follow through to completion. + Maintain all Deliverable Documentation for the Simulation and Processing groups. + Line up the Simulation group at the start of the program and follow thru to completion. **Requirements** + Travel is minimal; approximately ~3% + 8 years background in Simulation, System Layout, and Processing; as well as Engineering and Weld System Design. + Know-how in Mechanical and Controls aspects. + Working level and competent in Inventor and/or 3D ACAD.
