Come and join the TimeHub Time and Attendance team within Amazon Experience and Technology (AET), we support the computing infrastructure for a variety of applications that enable Amazon to manage time and attendance and related human resource needs for employees across the globe. We are looking for an experienced Systems Development Engineer II to join us in our pursuit of operational excellence through automation. You are expected to learn and grow your skill set to handle complex issues that arise from such large-scale applications which are growing at a record pace. About the team
The Infrastructure team within TimeHub Time and Attendance organization ensures optimal performance and reliability of critical workforce management systems. Our team is dedicated to delivering excellence through innovative automated solutions and advanced monitoring platforms. We support mission-critical HR systems that serve a global workforce at scale. We're seeking talented individuals passionate about building robust infrastructure solutions and driving operational excellence.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
- Experience with PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Experience managing multiple MS Windows server environments.
- Experience with a variety of AWS technologies such as EC2, S3, VPC, or Lambda.
- Experience developing and supporting operationally critical services and excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with distributed systems at scale
- Experience with Linux/Unix
- Ability to identify, own, and solve technical issues.
- Strong System Engineering background in supporting multiple systems on diverse platforms.
- Experience administering server applications.
- Knowledge of - IIS, Tomcat and/or Apache.
- Experience managing infrastructure for large UKG Workforce Central installations.
- Oracle Database Administration experience.
