Job Title: Electrical Assembler
Job Description

We are seeking skilled Electrical Assemblers to join our team. Candidates will be responsible for assembling tap-off boxes, switchgear units, remote power panels, and mechanical power distribution units. The role primarily requires mechanical skills, as candidates will be assembling small units using hand and power tools. Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings is essential.

ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.Assemble data bar units by fastening, drilling, attaching, and building complete units using metal parts.Perform control wiring within individual units in the electrical area.Engage in general labor duties such as stocking, inventory management, and unwrapping raw materials.Utilize hand and power tools for assembly tasks.Understand and execute assembly of finished products by reading drawings for parts and replacement parts.Maintain a production pace to meet daily unit completion goals.Essential Skills1-3 years of assembly or similar experience using hand/power tools.1 year of experience in wiring, whether as a hobby, in school, or professionally.Ability to read tape measures and, ideally, blueprints or schematics.Experience in electrical assembly and construction.Troubleshooting and mechanical assembly skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in installation, electrical wiring, and pulling wire.Skills in conduit bending, crimping, and cable management.1-2 years of mechanical or electrical assembly experience.Strong performance, attendance, and a good attitude.Stable job history without frequent changes.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is housed in a spacious 250,000 sq ft building with high ceilings and a clean atmosphere. It includes departments for fabrication, welding, machine operation, and painting. The shift runs from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with optional hours and occasional overtime on Saturdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Henrico, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.25/hr.
