Job Description
We are seeking skilled Switchgear Assemblers to join our expanding team, with positions available in both mechanical and electrical areas. The primary focus is on the mechanical assembly of small units, requiring proficiency in using hand and power tools and a strong mechanical aptitude.
ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.Assemble data bar units using metal components, ensuring proper fastening, drilling, and attachment to build complete units.Perform control wiring throughout individual units if working in the electrical area.Engage in general labor duties as assigned, including stocking, inventory management, and unwrapping raw materials.Utilize hand and power tools for assembly tasks.Read drawings to determine necessary parts or replacement parts for assembling finished products.Maintain production pace to meet daily unit completion goals, which may vary each day.Essential Skills1-3 years of assembly or similar experience using hand/power tools.Proficiency in mechanical and electrical assembly.Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and schematics.Ideal experience of at least 1 year in wiring, either as a hobby, through education, or professional work.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-2 years of mechanical or electrical assembly experience.Strong job tenure with valid reasons for leaving previous positions.Good attitude, performance, and attendance.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The facility spans 250K square feet, equipped with departments for fabrication, welding, machine operating, and painting. Enjoy working in a high-ceiling, clean environment with first and second shifts available, Monday to Friday, with optional additional hours and occasional Saturday work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Henrico, Virginia.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.25/hr.
