Swing Production Operator
Job Title: Operator
Job Description

Routinely uses molds and presses in the production process to produce first part and regular production parts in a timely manner with minimal to no supervision. This position will routinely work on manufacturing assignments per written procedures where the ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. This position requires an ability to get along well with co-workers within a team environment.

ResponsibilitiesOperate press machine to create parts using molds.Clean and prime parts with appropriate chemicals and solutions.Measure stock to ensure correct thickness and length.Place by hand a variety of materials in mold, on the mandrel, or in the build fixture.Weigh stock and scrap to be salvaged.Monitor individual production for bad parts for early defect detection.Use production equipment and tools, such as calipers and scales, on a regular basis.Ensure that materials handling recordkeeping is completed according to company and ISO standards.Follow internal safety policies and procedures at all times.Maintain work area free of safety hazards and clutter, including area setup and cleanup at the start and end of the shift.Perform other duties as assigned by the Working or Production Lead, Planner, Production Supervisor, and/or Module Manager.Essential SkillsAbility to lift up to 30 lbs.Proficiency in reading a tape measure.Use of hand tools to fabricate parts.Mechanical aptitude.Attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsSkilled in the use of hand tools including calipers, depth gages, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.Combination of relevant education and experience can be considered in lieu of exact education.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing environment with variable conditions, including temperature instability and atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or vapors. Exposure to solvents and other industrial chemicals is also part of the work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcminnville, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.30 - $20.00/hr.
