SVP Residential SalesPosition Overview
We are seeking a senior leader to serve as SVP of Residential Sales for Shaw Industries. This executive is the external face of our residential business, responsible for shaping national sales strategy, building trusted customer and industry relationships, and aligning execution across enterprise functions that create performance rhythms that enable winning execution across all channels. The role reports to the President of the Residential Business and succeeds through influence and alignment. This leader must drive clarity, consistency, and accountability through a matrixed organization while building trust with customers, channel partners, and internal stakeholders. This position will be based from our corporate headquarters in Dalton, GA
Responsibilities:
Define and lead the residential sales strategy that aligns tightly to the residential business strategy—translating enterprise direction into clear channel priorities, annual plans, and actionable program roadmaps.
Build an integrated, multi-channel go-to-market engine across specialty retail/buying groups, single-family builder, multi-family builder, national & regional strategic accounts, and home center/distribution.
Lead and develop the Sales Leadership Team, operating as a cohesive team that drives enterprise thinking, cross-channel coordination, and consistent execution.
Deliver annual channel outcomes including revenue, margin, market share, and disciplined SG&A/investment—by channel, by key customer, and by brand/product portfolio.
Create and deploy the sales operating system: playbooks, pipeline and forecast rigor, KPIs, and standard work that enables scalable execution and clear accountability.
Drive cross-functional alignment with Marketing/Customer Marketing, Finance, HR, Product/Category, and Design—partnering effectively with matrixed business partners to build holistic plans and remove execution friction.
Enable field execution through influence—evangelizing simple, repeatable programs that can be executed by field sales teams.
Strengthen alignment, deployment, and execution through field General Managers to ensure programs, priorities, and operational rhythms translate effectively to market level teams and drive consistent, scalable field performance.
Strengthen strategic customer relationships with major accounts, buying groups, and channel partners, contributing to senior-level engagement, joint business planning, and long-range growth plans.
Advance commercial discipline and value creation through pricing/mix, assortment strategy, promotion and rebate effectiveness, and customer profitability—ensuring growth is profitable and sustainable.
Represent the business externally as the primary senior sales voice—building credibility in a highly relational industry and reinforcing the company’s brand with customers and partners.
