SVP IT - Business PartnerPRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: The SVP IT Business Partner oversees all aspects of assigned Sedgwick business units from an information technology perspective. This role is responsible for setting the strategy for technology, technology integration, global property IT support and procedures, strategic initiative, department budgeting for the assigned segment of Sedgwick’s business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Partnership and Leadership
Provides senior leadership to VP and Director level colleagues responsible for the execution of core and strategic initiatives.Provides strategic and tactical direction for all areas within responsible domains.Manages highly technical teams working on large complex multi-million-dollar initiatives.Partners with cross-functional delivery organizations to define and deliver the best outcomes for the business.Collaborates with product, operations, finance, and enterprise IT peers.Leads geographically dispersed teams delivering and supporting large-scale initiatives.Technology Strategy & Execution
Executes the multi‑year technology roadmap defined by the Managing Director, ensuring delivery quality and alignment with business unit needs.Leads the successful development, delivery, and ongoing support for IT initiatives.Creates efficiencies and capacity through the implementation of AI, training, elimination of technical debt, and process optimization.Is present, responsive, and available to the IT and business partner community.Drives Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s) and solicits partners on areas of improvement.Plans and manages budgets for large complex projects and executes them within time and budget.Responsible for feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, and the establishment and implementation of new or revised applications, systems, and programs.Business Enablement & Innovation

Build strong relationships with business leaders to position IT as a trusted advisor and strategic enabler.Communicates complex technical concepts in clear, business-relevant terms to executive stakeholders.Team Leadership & Development
Leads, mentors, and managed a high-performing team of IT professionals responsible for day‑to‑day execution and support.Collaborate with enterprise IT leaders to ensure alignment with corporate standards and shared services.Manages vendor relationships and ensure delivery excellence from third-party partners.Leads with empathy and compassion, fostering an inclusive and supportive team culture.Engage with peers and leaders across a large, demographically dispersed organization.Manages the department budget to ensure financial resources are allocated effectively and align with business priorities.Manages off-shore and on-shore vendor relationships engaged with strategic project execution and planning.Promote and inclusive and accountable culture.ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions.QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major in information systems or management strong preferred.
Experience
Ten plus (10+) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include executive or senior IT management responsibilities including leading teams of 50+ colleagues and contractors. Experience implementing and managing off-shore and vendor resources.
