If you have the qualities and drive to lead yourself or teams, there are roles ready to cultivate your skills and take you to the next level. **Job Description:** **Internal Job Grade: 30E** **Apply midnight EDT on 8/25** The UPS Sustainability Team is responsible for developing the strategy of and executing initiatives to enable the decarbonization of UPS’ global operations. The team works cross-functionally to design and execute greenhouse gas reduction solutions across all business units and modes of transportation, as well as to design customer-facing sustainable logistic products. We leverage the power of data to manage and measure the progress of our initiatives, meet voluntary and regulatory disclosures, and enable analysis to make sound, financially prudent recommendations. This role will focus on managing processes to calculate carbon emissions, leading decarbonization initiatives, and developing and implementing sustainable transportation solutions for our customers. As a key member of the team, you will bring UPS into a brighter, more sustainable future. This position may manage others. **Key Roles and Responsibilities** **include:** **Lead the development and commercialization of sustainable transportation solutions, specifically customer emissions reporting.** **Support the development of UPS’ decarbonization strategies.** **Develop the roadmaps and business cases for and lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce UPS’ greenhouse gas emissions.** **Support the leadership team to develop materials to inform senior stakeholders of sustainability strategy and progress, including the Board of Directors, Executive Leadership Team, and Sustainability governance committees.** **Conduct research and develop analyses to uncover opportunities, mitigate risk, and guide our strategy and decision making for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.** **Lead and support engagements with external partners, including customers, governments, suppliers, partners, and non-profits.** **Ensure audit-readiness of sustainability data, including sufficient documentation of accuracy and completeness, and collaborate with internal and external auditors during assurance process.** **Maintain a working knowledge of, and research findings regarding regulatory changes, trends, measurement and technical issues relevant to sustainability.** **Create and manage project plans to drive results towards deliverables.** **Preferred Skills, Experience and Educational Qualifications** **Highly analytical, data-driven, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage for results** **Ability to manage multiple, large multiple data sets to develop insights.** **Strong analytical skills, including the ability to build complex models, understand financial statements, develop business cases, and develop other decision support tools.** **Advanced Excel skills and experience using analytical software tools such as Power BI.** **Experience with Workiva Sustainability reporting tool is preferred** **Experience with SQL and relational database management systems (e.g., GCP BigQuery, Oracle, SQL Server) a plus** **Self-starter with a strong attention to detail** **Ability to work with tight deadlines and lead project teams.** **Effective communicator (written and verbal).** **Team player who can work cross-functionally to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.** **Ability to distinguish between “big picture” concepts and detailed facts.** **Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) – Sustainability, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Analytics, Finance** **Master’s degree in relevant discipline preferred.** **Promotes a positive image of the company.** **Employee Type:** Permanent UPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. **Other Criteria:** UPS is an equal opportunity employer.
