This role will drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of sustainability programs across the EMEA region, ensuring alignment with client goals, regulatory requirements, and Cushman & Wakefield best practices. Key ResponsibilitiesClient-Focused ActivitiesLead the development and execution of the sustainability strategy for a major global technology client across EMEA.
Identify and deliver resource efficiency improvements through operational, capital, and management initiatives supported by strong business cases.
Build and manage the annual sustainability plan for all regional sites, ensuring accurate OPEX forecasting.
Contribute to environmental performance reporting, including carbon footprint, energy, waste, and water metrics.
Deliver quarterly sustainability updates and present findings at QBRs and stakeholder meetings.
Train and support facilities managers, operational teams, and subject matter experts on sustainability practices.
Coordinate environmental utility data collection and reporting across the region.
Build strong partnerships with client management teams in all countries.
Lead a network of regional sustainability champions.
Develop communication materials and engagement campaigns to promote sustainable practices.
Support innovative projects that drive low‑carbon solutions and operational efficiency.
Oversee building performance through management of building ratings and certifications.
C&W / Central Platform ActivitiesReport into the C&W EMEA Sustainability Platform and contribute to internal sustainability forums.
Present sustainability progress at client QBRs and internal business meetings.
Support new business RFPs and supply chain partners with sustainability program requirements.
Collaborate with account SMEs and the C&W consulting team on sustainable solutions and product development.
Contribute to sustainable procurement initiatives, including tender specifications for contractor services.
Principal ResponsibilitiesAct as the regional sustainability lead for the account, ensuring alignment with client and C&W objectives.
Develop a deep understanding of the client’s business, priorities, and sustainability ambitions.
Manage supply chain and statutory compliance, recommending improvements for consistency and performance.
Advise on risk management and ensure supplier alignment with sustainability playbooks and waste protocols.
Lead and monitor Zero Waste programs in selected countries.
Build and oversee the annual sustainability strategic plan in partnership with senior leadership, CRMs, and finance teams.
Research market best practices and propose tools with clear ROI and implementation pathways.
Maintain strong communication with the Account Manager, Business Operations Manager, and CRMs.
Track sustainability KPIs, cost savings, and supply chain performance.
Drive value creation through reduced energy consumption and financial savings.
Prepare quarterly strategic reports demonstrating progress against KPIs and savings targets.
Ensure implementation of standard tools, processes, and site operating manuals.
Partner with FM and PM teams on sustainability‑related projects.
Review food consultant reports, assign actions, and monitor performance.
Ensure all communication aligns with client guidelines for internal and external publications.
About YouSkills & ExperienceDegree in a sustainability‑related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of energy management, waste management, GHG reporting, Scope 3 supply chain reporting, sustainable procurement, AI and technology applications, energy procurement, and building certifications.
Experience in environmental compliance reporting, budget management, ROI modelling, and business case development.
Strong time management, stakeholder engagement, and people leadership skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Power BI, and SmartSheets.
Personal QualitiesCollaborative team player with the ability to build strong relationships quickly.
Flexible and willing to travel regularly across EMEA.
Professional, presentable, and confident in senior‑level interactions.
Proactive and resilient, able to manage a varied and complex workload.
