This role is ideal for someone with strong project and client management skills, deep experience in sustainability within real estate investment management, and a passion for driving ESG performance and decarbonization across portfolios. What You'll Do: - Lead and support sustainability initiatives for real estate investor clients, including ESG strategy development, implementation, and reporting. - Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor on sustainability topics. - Oversee GRESB reporting processes and ensure timely, high-quality submissions. - Integrate sustainability data into client systems and platforms; experience with Deepki or similar software is a plus. - Collaborate with asset and portfolio managers to embed sustainability into investment and asset management decisions. - Develop and implement portfolio-level decarbonization strategies, including emissions baselining, target setting (e.g., net zero), and roadmap creation. - Advise clients on energy efficiency, renewable energy integration, and carbon reduction opportunities across assets. - Monitor regulatory trends and market expectations related to climate risk and carbon performance. - Contribute to green building certifications, ESG disclosures, and other sustainability advisory services. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. - 5+ years of experience in sustainability, with a focus on real estate investment management. - Proven project and client management experience. - Strong understanding of ESG frameworks and reporting standards, especially GRESB. - Experience working in-house or in an advisory capacity for real estate investment firms. - Familiarity with sustainability data platforms (Deepki preferred). - Demonstrated experience in developing and executing decarbonization strategies. - Bonus: LEED, BREEAM, or other green building certifications; experience in climate risk analysis or net zero planning. The minimum salary for the Sustainability Manager position is $158,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sustainability Manager position is $165,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
