The Sustainability Analyst is responsible for supporting our client’s sustainability programs and helping our client achieve their ambitious environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals. In this role, you will work directly with senior sustainability professionals to support our client’s sustainability programs by providing building benchmarking, supporting sustainability reporting and disclosure, analyzing sustainability metrics, and identifying opportunities to improve sustainability performance. You will help communicate sustainability performance by tracking, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting ESG metrics across our client’s real estate portfolio. You will build tools, templates, and processes to streamline reporting, and you will develop innovative ways to improve the visual communication of sustainability data to key stakeholders.Job Description
About the Role:
Project & Delivery Management: Coordinate multiple projects, prioritize tasks and timelines, track progress, and ensure deliverables stay on budget and schedule.Research, Benchmarking & Analysis: Conduct market, industry, and client research; perform gap analyses; synthesize findings into insights, conclusions, and client‑ready recommendations.Sustainability & ESG Data Management: Administer, collect, validate, and analyze sustainability data (energy, emissions, water, waste, social), ensuring 100% completeness and continuous process improvement.Reporting, Compliance & Governance: Coordinate ESG compliance reporting, manage sustainability data governance, and oversee external audits through issue resolution and close‑out.Insights, Tools & Enablement: Analyze sustainability trends, provide benchmarking intelligence, develop and enhance analytical tools, and support teams through troubleshooting and continuous enhancements.About You:
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in sustainability‑related fields with 2+ years of analytical experience in ESG, sustainability, consulting, or commercial real estate.Sustainability & Real Estate Expertise: Broad understanding of sustainable real estate operations, including utilities management, audits, conservation measures, energy modeling, and global sustainability trends.Technical & Data Proficiency: Experience managing sustainability data systems; strong Excel and PowerBI skills; ability to analyze, visualize, and report complex sustainability data accurately.Building & Systems Knowledge: Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building automation systems, as well as construction documents and operational policies.Professional & Client Skills: Strong analytical thinking, project management, research capability, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently in a global environment and a passion for client service.Why join Cushman & Wakefield?
