Survey Technician
Job Title: Survey TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a talented Survey Technician to enhance our team's capabilities. The ideal candidate will have 3-6+ years of surveying experience in a civil firm and will play a crucial role in leading technological initiatives. This position primarily involves office work with occasional field duties, supporting the daily schedules of the field team. The Survey Technician will utilize field-collected data to create cutsheets and layout plans, enabling engineers to proceed with their designs.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare cutsheets, wallchecks, finals, asbuilts, boundaries, topos, and field stakeout for new construction projects on large parcels of land.Assist the field coordinator in preparing work for field crews.Schedule field crews as needed, and perform field survey duties in the absence of field personnel.Participate in at least one continuing education class as per company guidelines.Essential Skills3-6+ years of experience as a Survey Technician in a CAD-based office role.Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D software; familiarity with Carlson software is a plus.Experience in surveying (field) and engineering (design) is advantageous.Knowledge of land surveying, data collection, maps, layouts, ALTA, and topographic surveys.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with cutsheets, topos, and field stakeouts.Ability to read blueprints and contract documentation.Work Environment

The work environment involves a focus on residential communities and commercial projects across various phases. The team comprises 36 members organized into four teams supporting diverse project types. The office environment is fast-paced, with flexible work schedules. Employees who are proactive, inquisitive, and focused tend to thrive here. After the first 90 days, there is an option to create a hybrid work schedule. The Survey Technician will benefit from monthly skill enhancement training, 3 weeks of PTO, and 10 paid holidays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
