Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced MicroStation Drafting Technician to join our land survey team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD drafting and design, with proficiency in MicroStation and TopoDOT. This role involves performing advanced CAD assignments, coordinating drafting efforts, and providing training for less-experienced drafters. The technician will work on city projects and Department of Transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform mid-level to advanced CAD drafting and design duties using MicroStation and TopoDOT. Coordinate drafting efforts and provide guidance to less-experienced drafters. Create and update all types of drawings, including engineering and construction plans. Run calculations and ensure accuracy in all drafting work. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure project objectives are met. Provide training and support for new or less-experienced employees. 

Travel to job sites for observation and to perform field work as needed, in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

You bring to the team:

Strong communication skills Ability to contribute and work well on a team Associate’s degree in CAD Drafting or a related field preferred Minimum of 5 years experience in CAD drafting with experience in civil engineering or related fields  Proficiency in MicroStation, TopoDOT, and SolidWorks  Knowledge of trigonometry  Valid driver's license with a good driving history  Basic understanding of land surveying principles preferred
