Survey Crew Chief

Description

Conduct field survey activities to support timely completion of topographic, boundary, ALTA, and construction surveys for both municipal and private sector projects

Maintain clear, accurate, and professional field notes and sketches

Research and analyze recorded survey documents, maps, plats, and deeds

Support CAD production for construction, ALTA, boundary, topographic surveys, and subdivision plats

Ensure high standards of quality and precision in all deliverables

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in land surveying

At least 2 years of experience as a survey field crew chief

Experience with site development projects

Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) certification in Illinois is a plus

Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is advantageous

Strong ability to interpret construction plans and perform field staking

Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet company insurance requirements

Capable of working independently while collaborating with a diverse project team

Experience operating Trimble GPS/VRS and Robotic Total Stations is highly preferred

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $78000.00/hr.
