Survey Crew Chief
Job Title: Survey Crew ChiefJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Survey Crew Chief to lead field operations for a variety of surveys, including ALTA, topographical, and construction surveys. This role involves operating instruments and data collection systems to gather accurate data, as well as maintaining survey equipment and supplies. As a Survey Crew Chief, you will play a critical role in the successful execution of projects. Responsibilities + Perform field operations for ALTA surveys, topographical surveys, and construction surveys. + Operate instruments and data collection systems such as total stations, levels, and other measuring devices. + Assist or perform processing of field measurements and related data for reports. + Maintain survey equipment and supplies for crew vehicles. Essential Skills + At least 5 years of surveying experience. + Minimum of 3 years working with total station equipment. + At least 1 year experience running a crew, including scheduling. + Proficiency in using survey equipment such as Pls, Trimble GPS, robotics, construction stakeout, boundary survey software, and Carlson. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in land surveying and topography. + Knowledge of land development processes. + Familiarity with Topcon technology. Work Environment This role is 100% field-based. The team meets at the office at 6:30 AM before heading to the survey site. Crew Chiefs receive a company truck and are compensated on rain days. Join a reputable firm with over 60 years of history, working on projects such as K-12, light commercial, and industrial. The survey team is composed of around 50 professionals. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Germantown, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $39.00/hr.
