The CAD Technician is responsible for utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D software to assist engineers and surveyors with various design and drafting tasks, including routine layouts, detail drawings, sketches, and diagrams.
ResponsibilitiesProduce drawings using computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software, mainly Civil 3D and AutoCAD 2D.Analyze sketches, drawings, notes, and/or verbal information provided by engineers, surveyors, technicians, or designers to determine the most appropriate views, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete assignments.Work closely with engineers, surveyors, technicians, project coordinators, project managers, and support staff to produce drawings and layout data.Revise and/or modify drawings as necessary.Plot, organize, and assemble project-related documents.Utilize knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematical formulas, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.Adhere to company standards and methodologies.Maintain exceptional internal and external client relations.Achieve performance objectives and financial metrics as outlined in the Key Performance Indicator document.Support a 1 million dollar survey project initially, with subsequent involvement in various survey, municipal, and land development projects.Perform all other duties as assigned.Essential Skills3 plus years of Civil 3D CAD skills.5 plus years of experience working on Survey projects.Proficiency in AutoCAD.Additional Skills & Qualifications10 plus years of experience is a bonus.Experience working on Land Development and/or Municipal projects is advantageous.MicroStation ORD (Open Roads) experience is desirable.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is primarily office-based, with a flexible schedule of 40-50 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Initially, work will be in-office for the first 90 days, transitioning to a hybrid model of 2 days in-office and 3 days remote thereafter.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
