Surveillance & Access Control Technician

Our client supporting statewide security and facility management, is seeking a Surveillance & Access Control Technician to join their team. As a Surveillance & Access Control Technician, you will be part of the Facilities Systems Support team supporting surveillance, door control, building automation, and telecommunication systems. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, adaptability, and independence, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Location: Madison, WI**
**Note:** Hybrid Schedule with WFH and on-location at prisons as needed. For what is required of this role there is a lot of on-site travel (to the prisons) and setup time at central office. The manager's stance is that when the contractor needs to be in the office or on site, they will need to be available, and it will be non-negotiable.
**What's the Job?**
+ Design, install, configure, and maintain surveillance, access control, and building automation systems across multiple locations.
+ Support and troubleshoot network, server, and workstation components related to security systems.
+ Manage and update extensive system documentation and project tracking.
+ Perform site visits and on-site support at secure facilities, including travel to prisons and other locations.
+ Collaborate with team members to plan and implement system upgrades and support ongoing operations.
**What's Needed?**
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in surveillance, network, and server support or related fields.
+ At least 3 years of experience working with Video Surveillance systems (Network/Server/Workstation).
+ 3 years of experience with Cisco Networking (Routers & Switches).
+ 2 years of experience with Web Filtering tools such as Palo Alto and Zscaler.
+ Willingness to travel frequently within the state, including long days and on-site visits.
