SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for reconciliation of surplus lines transactions as well as handling deposits and AR reporting for two of our locations.

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

Facilitate agent/agency compliance with state surplus lines rulesProvide assistance to Producers and Account Managers - Tax rates, Affidavits, Home State designationSubmit required documents to states to facilitate timely filingsCreation and implementation of state filing process internallyCoordinate payment of tax and related feesAssist in the development and maintenance of surplus lines processes and producersAssist in reading and interpreting state surplus lines related to administrative codeReconciling surplus lines accountsRunning monthly AR reports and assists keeping the AR currentAdministering return premiums for two of our locations

REQUIREMENTS:

Two years’ work experience in the insurance industry-preferably with surplus lines taxStrong desire to learn and foster a community of complianceKnowledge of insurance industry and risk managerKnowledge of methods of compiling, organizing and analyzing dataAbility to understand and apply rules, regulations, policies and proceduresAbility to plan, organize and coordinate work activities independentlyExcellent communication, interpersonal skills and positive attitudeStrong attention to detail

EDUCATION, LICENSING OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor’s degree in business, Risk Management and Insurance, or Accounting preferred not required
