**17875BR** **Title:** Surgical Technologist 1 **Department/Cost Center:** 735-Operating Room **Job Description:** A Surgical Technologist is a member of the surgical team who works with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel in delivering patient care and assuming appropriate responsibilities before, during and after surgery. **PAY RANGE:** $26.00 - $29.01 _*The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Education: _Within one year of start date_ in this role, employee fulfills the educational requirements for completion of a nationally and NYS accredited educational program for surgical technologists and is eligible to take the Certified Surgical Technologist certification exam within 6 months of graduation, administered by a nationally accredited surgical technologist credentialing organization (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) NBSTSA . 2. Experience: Currently in Surgical Technologist clinical rotations. Actively enrolled in accredited Surgical Technologist program. 3. License/Certification Required: American Heart Association BLS CPR Certification required. Eligible to become certified in surgical technology administered by a nationally accredited surgical technologist credentialing organization (unless otherwise qualified per the NYS Public Health Law) 4. Skills: Aseptic Technique and in-depth knowledge of surgical equipment highly desirable. Good communication, positive attitude, team-player.
