We are seeking a professional, friendly, and highly-motivated individual to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service and organizational skills, and the ability to anticipate surgical needs, preparing the operating room for daily procedures. ResponsibilitiesVerify with managers that the pre-operative checklist is complete.Conduct preparation, sterilization, maintenance, and stocking of operating room supplies.Assist RNs in preparing instruments and supplies for the operating room.Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of the operating room.Maintain sterile and non-sterile instruments and equipment.Ensure proper storage and handling of instruments and equipment.Ensure operating rooms are fully stocked and expiration dates of supplies are checked.Participate in quality control surveillance measures.Engage in team meetings and continuing education.Learn and teach others as needed.Assist with day-to-day troubleshooting and logistical needs.Identify maintenance issues and address them promptly.Maintain cleanliness and ambiance in the work area.Communicate clearly with management about operations.Collaborate with owners, advisors, injectors, and the team to build an exceptional client experience.Essential Skills1+ years of clinical experience, with concentration in plastic and reconstructive surgery.Experience as a Surgical Technologist in facial plastic surgery, preferably within a private practice setting.Hands-on experience with facelift and facial procedures; rhinoplasty experience is a plus.Ability to scrub in for facial surgeries, including extended operative cases.Thorough knowledge of sterile technique, including proper patient prepping and draping.Ability to maintain a sterile field throughout long and detail-oriented procedures.Certified Surgical Technician.1-3 years of clinical experience.Strong communication skills.Ability to adhere to protocols and policies.Teamwork-oriented mindset with a 'can do' attitude.Flexibility, dependability, punctuality, and empathy.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Professionalism in the workplace.Additional Skills & QualificationsBLS certification.Experience with surgical instrumentation.Work Environment

This position will be split between the Manhattan and Long Island offices. Candidates are expected to travel to the Woodbury office and Manhattan twice per week. The practice operates from 6am to 7pm. The ideal candidate should be flexible to work a 10-hour shift within these hours, typically the later shift (e.g., 8am-6pm or 9am-7pm), but may be required to start at 6am for coverage. Dress code is professional attire suitable for a medical setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $50.00/hr.
