$96,137.00 – $110,510.00 – $130,728.00

 

 

A Surgical Oncology Nurse Navigator is a professional registered nurse with oncology and surgery specific clinical knowledge who offers individualized assistance to patients, families and caregivers to help overcome healthcare system barriers. Utilizing the nursing process, an oncology nurse navigator provides education and resources to facilitate informed decision making and timely access to quality health and psychosocial care throughout all phases of the cancer continuum.

Ensures patients are scheduled in a timely manner and all appropriate documentation is available to develop a surgical plan: Perform education including shared decision making and assess patients for referral to supportive and other resources. Acts as the clinical contact person in resolving patient and family related issues as well as provide education to patient/families by identifying their specific needs and treatment options, and is able to direct them to multiple sources of information

​Requirements :

Current MA Nursing License and BLS CPR Bachelor's Degree in Nursing 5 years nursing experience in surgical, OR, PACU, Surgical Oncology experience strongly preferred Must obtain specialty certification within two years Strong critical thinking, time management, collaboration and communication skills are essential Must have the ability to be self-directed, work independently and as well in team environment.

FT 40 hours Monday – Friday Schedule Location 100 Wason Ave. Springfield MA Sign On Bonus eligible Sign on Bonuses are paid to external hires only; not applicable for internal or company transfers, unless otherwise specified. Former employees are eligible after 1 year post separation from Baystate Health.
