Surface Grinding Machinist, Holland $25-30/hour2nd Shift Direct HireOT Available

Job Description

The Machinist will work on the 2nd shift, performing machine set-ups according to blueprints and operating both manual shop machines and CNC milling machines, ensuring quality levels are met. Responsibilities include surface grinding of parts from Mill Machines using automated mill surface grinding machines, as well as the ability to operate and edit the programs.

Responsibilities

Operate machinery upon completion of training.Set up equipment parameters to conform to process work standards.Perform daily machine cleaning, maintenance, error proofing, and lubrication checks.Troubleshoot machines to improve performance and maintain quality.Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe working environment.Assist experienced machinists with daily tasks involving both manual and CNC milling.Cut materials, fabricate, and installation.Use measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, inner diameter micrometers, and cylinder gauges.Regularly check equipment to ensure normal operating activity.Engage in basic troubleshooting and report unresolved issues.Complete daily documentation, checklists, and audits.Follow established work instructions.Adhere to safety requirements at all times, including the use of proper PPE.Adhere to general, and position-specific, dress code requirements.Participate in, and successfully complete, any and all training requirements.

Essential Skills

At least 2 years of surface grinding operating experience.Experience editing programs on surface grinding machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency with grinder, milling machine, surface grinding, and blueprint reading.

Work Environment

The facility is enormous, requiring a lot of walking between buildings and within the plant. One department is a dry room, necessitating garb and beard nets if applicable. The environment is meticulously clean, temperature-controlled, and brightly lit, with a strong emphasis on 5S3K.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $77792.00/yr.

The company offers 100% company paid health insurance premiums for full-time employees and their eligible dependents. This means that no funds are deducted from an employees’ paycheck for medical, dental, and vision benefits. Benefits start the first of the month from when you start. They provide $110 per week for employees to pay for babysitting services through a user-friendly app.
