Your Impact

The Support Supervisor is primarily responsible for supervising a high performing team responsible for supporting operations during the night and weekend shift to ensure product moves through the facility efficiently and effectively. This role plans and monitors which product is received into the facility to meet store demand. This role ensures the correct quantity and quality of product gets to the customer by monitoring the products and the accuracy of the facility's processes. This role also resolves inventory discrepancies so that product in demand can be shipped to the stores on time. In addition, this role monitors and receives calls from the stores requesting information such as proposed product shipment dates.

What You Will Do

Drives compliance with daily safety requirements and builds/sustains a culture of safety among subordinates and peersAssists associates with HR related issues including questions/concerns with attendance, pay, benefits, job changes, voluntary terminations, I-9 verification, unemployment claims, and workplace accommodationsCommunicates clear expectations for associates and provides timely and constructive feedbackMonitors and manages associate performance, ensuring that associates are executing assigned tasks accurately and as scheduledMentors and builds relationships with associates, recording planned encounters when needed, and completing annual reviewsHolds associates in department accountable to expected behaviors and performance levelsMonitors the data management system (DMS) to ensure items are set up correctly in the systemResolves inventory discrepancies when product does not allocate appropriatelyReviews warehouse capacity and assigns associates to move product around to make space for inbound productMonitors priority demand or special orders to ensure shipment; reviews purchase orders on the yard to identify any trailers that need to be received into inventory for cross-dock opportunitiesPlaces inbound trailers on hold in the yard (not to be received into inventory) if overstocked with productResearches and closes waves (product to be picked) that are complete in the databaseReports, to upper management and Corporate, damages that have occurred in-house over a certain thresholdMonitors and allocates Direct to Customer (DTC) and Transfer OrdersAssists direct reports or Operations with any issues with product that arises (e.g., product not allocating)Monitors onsite and offsite storage trailers for demand needsAllocates S.O.E (warehouse/store order express) and S.O.S orders to ensure they are shipped by targeted date; checks these orders frequentlyPrepares shift turn-over documentationMonitors and verifies process audits, cycle counts, damages and hazmat processing are completed dailyMonitors Building Utilization to help avoid any inbound issues with productCommunicates effectively with associates regarding business objectives or current issuesProvides associates with meaningful developmental opportunities and prepares them for upward promotion if interestedDiscusses and resolves issues with and between associatesParticipates in the hiring process by initiating job requisitions when appropriate and interviewing prospective candidatesEnsures associates receive proper trainingThis position manages/supervises people

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field3-5 Years 4 years of experience in distribution center/warehouse operations or related area

Preferred Skills/Education

Leadership experience with direct report responsibilityExperience mentoring and coaching othersExperience using troubleshooting processes to resolve problemsExperience managing multiple projects/tasks simultaneously requiring a strong ability to prioritize and manage timeExperience with software applications such as Excel, Access or Lowe’s DMS systemExperience building a culture of safety among subordinates and peers
