As a Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist – Level 5, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position allows for FT remote work.
This position resides within the Space Global Supply Chain Regulatory Compliance team and serves as a key compliance and governance role supporting Prime Contract Flowdown Analysis across the Space Sector. The role is responsible for ownership, implementation, sustainment, and oversight of the Prime Contract Flowdown Analysis tool and process, ensuring that contractual and regulatory requirements are accurately translated into subcontract actions.
The successful candidate will partner closely with Supply Chain, Contracts, and other Compliance stakeholders to ensure that FAR and DFARS requirements are properly analyzed, maintained, and incorporated into purchase orders and subcontract instruments. This role also supports audit readiness and execution, enterprise-level regulatory initiatives, and supplier risk management activities.
This role requires deep regulatory expertise, independent judgment, and the ability to operate as a sector-wide subject matter expert. The position carries enterprise impact, audit exposure, and responsibility for governance of a critical compliance tool.
In this job, you will:
Serve as the Space Sector lead for Prime Contract Flowdown Analysis, including:
Ownership, implementation, sustainment, and continuous improvement of the Flowdown Analysis tool
Ensuring the tool remains current with FAR, DFARS, and customer-specific requirements
Partnering with Contracts to align flowdown requirements with new awards and contract modifications
Providing guidance and hands-on support to Buyers and Subcontract Managers in applying flowdowns to POs
Developing and delivering training to GSC personnel on proper tool utilization and compliance expectations
Participate in enterprise level teams responsible for evaluating, interpreting, and updating FAR and DFARS clauses and procurement policy guidance
Support supplier risk management initiatives and cross-functional compliance efforts
Provide regulatory compliance support for internal and external audits, including DCMA, DCAA, CPSR, and internal SOX and Common Controls audits
Serve as a subject matter expert for FAR, DFARS, and subcontract terms and conditions, providing authoritative guidance to Supply Chain and program teams
Support broader Space GSC Regulatory Compliance initiatives as required
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Subcontracts, Contracts, Regulatory Compliance, or other Business-Related field – OR - Master’s degree and a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience
Demonstrated expertise in FAR and DFARS, including interpretation and application of contract clauses and flowdown requirements
Experience supporting or interfacing government audits (e.g., DCMA, DCAA, CPSR)
Experience working in a regulated government contracting environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to advise senior stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a compliance, contracts, or regulatory role within aerospace or defense
Experience with prime contract analysis and subcontract flowdown development
Familiarity with enterprise compliance tools, clause libraries, or automated flowdown systems
Experience developing and delivering training in a regulated environment
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Contracts, Supply Chain, and Program teams
Ability to operate independently, set priorities, and provide authoritative guidance in ambiguous or high-risk situations

Primary Level Salary Range: $133,000.00 - $199,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
