Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) / Intelligence Systems (IS) is looking for a motivated and self-starting Supply Chain Specialist (Mid-Level, Senior or Lead) for our team based in Herndon, VA.

The Mid-Level Supply Chain Specialist plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain processes. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials and information across the supply chain, collaborating with various stakeholders to support production and meet customer demands while driving continuous improvement and cost efficiency.

Position Responsibilities:

Manage and optimize supply chain processes to ensure timely delivery of materials and products

Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to maintain inventory levels and meet production schedules

Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement

Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction and efficiency enhancement in the supply chain

Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual agreements

Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to resolve supply chain issues

Support demand planning and forecasting activities to align supply with customer requirements

Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards

Prepare reports and presentations on supply chain metrics and performance

Participate in cross-functional projects to improve supply chain operations and systems

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

This position requires an Active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).  (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field

3 + years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or related areas

Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and technologies

Proficiency with supply chain management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Familiarity with industry regulations and quality standards related to supply chain operations

Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and cost-saving initiatives

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Advanced degree (Master’s or MBA) in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field

Level 4: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Level 5: 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience with task tracking tools such as JIRA

Experience with advanced data analytics and supply chain optimization tools

Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies

Experience working in aerospace or manufacturing industries

Proven track record of leading cross-functional supply chain projects

Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and vendors

Familiarity with global supply chain and logistics operations

Ability to influence and drive change in a complex organizational environment

Experience with risk management and contingency planning in supply chains

Summary pay range for Mid-Level (Level 3): $96,050.00 - $129,950.00

Summary pay range for Senior (Level 4): $120,700.00 - $163,300.00

Summary pay range for Lead (Level 5): $152,150.00 - $205,850.00
