The position
Essential function(s) include:
Reporting to the SCO Lead South Africa and Türkiye, the position is primarily responsible to lead the supply chain projects, reporting's and to coordinate all customs activities for the market. In addition, the position is responsible for certain tasks that are typically beyond market/customer.
The position acts as primary contact for the 3PL and customs brokers. He/she coordinates all activities required for customs clearance in line with company Global Trade Compliance and customs requirements. Supports TLRA execution and any other project related to the local SCO activities.

Responsibilities
Primary activities include, but are not limited to:
• Regularly, actively contributing to projects and initiatives. Leading the projects related with SCO activities.
• Monitoring inventory levels, identifying inventory risks. Conduct root cause analysis.
• Taking care of and improving standard reporting (e.g. metrics regarding demand, supply, master data and inventory) for the department.
• Assisting in the month end stock reconciliation report
• Keeping track of SKU code mapping in between OGN SAP and 3PL ERP, take necessary actions for inactivation of depleted SKUs and activation of new SKUs in a timely manner.
• Support with SAP system errors – ASNs; Code changes
• Maintains and control spend within allocated SCM budget for South Africa to balance cost & service in the most cost-efficient manner
• Coordinating inbound & outbound shipments and track in transit stock movement
• Coordinating import/export permit / license to meet local regulatory and custom requirement
• Engage with various internal & external stakeholders like finance, commercial, supply, factory, service providers to gather relevant insights & information required for operations
• Oversee import/export document retention and electronic document storage in line with Global Trade Compliance and customs requirements
• Overseeing and providing guidance to 3PL, Freight forwarders and DISTRIBUTOR/S customer service on warehousing and distribution activities
• Taking care of SCO related activities for Transportation Lane Risk Assessment process.
• Raising Purchase Requisition on vendors for routine and non-routine SCO services
• Providing audit support.
• Contributing to continuous improvement of own tasks for department.
• Conducting all activities in a compliant manner.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
• Preferably a bachelor’s degree or proven equivalent work experience in a related business area (Supply Chain, Customer Service, Project Management, Logistics, Planning, Procurement or equivalent)
. Minimum 2 year's experience
• Knowledge of distribution and logistics and SSA Customs regulations and related experience
• Proactive, taking initiative and speaking up how own area operates.
• Communication fluency in English, both verbal and in writing, at all levels. Presentation skills for smaller groups predominantly in own area.
• Advanced understanding of DF/D&L systems and process such as SAP; basic understanding of processes and systems in adjacent areas.
• Quantitative analysis expertise, datamining, analysis and reporting
• Stakeholder management, teamwork and collaboration
• Leadership Behaviors: Good understanding of these behaviors and ability to apply them in the team. Strong customer focus.

• Business and Finance acumen: Understand impact of own area's activities within SCM and impact on adjacent functional groups. Good understanding of financial supply chains and product cost.
