**_This is an onsite position requiring the team member to be onsite 5 days a week. No relocation is provided for this opportunity._**
**Job Summary**
This role will actively support the short and long-term supply planning activities for your assigned focus suppliers and respective materials or services purchased. Plan and schedule all customer orders through the manufacturing areas in order to maximize resources and capacity to meet the customers demand on time. Supervise planning specialist and plant purchasing function. Monitor all inventory levels and maintain within established guidelines. Establish and maintain data integrity in West systems. Constantly evaluate and seek ways to improve the effectiveness of the above functions.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Direct supervision of all planning specialists within your assigned value streams.
+ Ensure adequate training and performance is satisfactory for the requirements of the job.
+ Enforce and maintain all procedures and work instructions within your department.
+ Plan, schedule and promise all customer orders or order changes daily.
+ Regularly communicate with Customer Success on pertinent information on the status of customer orders and general information questions in reference to lead times, capacity, etc.
+ Interface with customers and suppliers as assigned in your value stream to coordinate needs.
+ Prepare and review the daily activity plan with all departments, coordinate prioritization of activities to meet promised delivery dates, and ensure timely communication of changes to the plan.
+ Maintain data integrity in SAP and Intouch systems.
+ Prepare, maintain and release production orders daily and close out monthly.
+ Prepare, maintain, and communicate production schedules.
+ Coordinate raw material purchasing and production plans with planning team to ensure requirements are met, expedited, or postponed as needed to meet targets and ensure uninterrupted operations.
+ Review late order report weekly and monthly.
+ Review and maintain all inventory stocking and min/max programs.
+ Participate in cost and process improvement project teams. Assist in preparation of operation forecast review.
+ Review raw material expiration report monthly.
+ Responsible for the performance of assigned direct reports; define performance and development objectives, conduct performance evaluations, assess workloads and assign tasks, provide support, expertise, and coaching.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Additional Responsibilities**
**Education**
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain related concentrations.
**Work Experience**
+ Experience: 5+ years of job-related experience in supply chain.
+ Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including supervisory experience
+ Sound knowledge of MS Office and SAP (MM/SD module) required
**Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Must be familiar with computers and various software programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint, Master Control, and SAP.
+ Must be able to communicate effectively with written and oral skills, make quick decisions, interpret data, read & write, speak in front of groups, express & exchange ideas, understand direction and adhere to procedures at all levels of the organization. Work well with others in a variety of situations.
+ Ability to work independently and make sound judgements.
+ Organizational skills will enable planning, prioritization & achievement of goals especially of importance for the successful execution of related activities.
+ Must be able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve, and prioritize.
+ High level understanding of:
+ standard inventory management practices
+ standard shipping and export documentation
+ warehouse operation and management
+ Experience developing master production scheduled and resources plans.
+ Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
+ Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
+ Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.
**License and Certifications**
+ Manufacturing\Lean Six Sigma Certification-IASSC Lean, Agile or Six Sigma preferred
+ Program and Project Management\Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI preferred
**Travel Requirements**
5%: Up to 13 business days per year
**Physical Requirements**
Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
