Job PurposeThe Inventory Planner is responsible for managing inventory levels to meet customer service requirements while optimizing working capital and minimizing supply chain costs. The role ensures effective purchase order management, inventory accuracy, and proactive resolution of supply risks across the end-to-end supply chain.
Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Planning & Control
Manage inventory to meet defined service level targets while balancing cost and availability.Review and optimize stock holding levels across locations to support demand and operational needs.Monitor and drive reduction targets for excess, slow-moving, and obsolete (E&O / SLOB) inventory.Analyze inventory trends and recommend actions to improve stock health and turnover.Systems & Data Management
Update and maintain accurate inventory, purchase order, and logistics data within ERP systems.Ensure system data integrity to support planning, reporting, and decision-making.Support audits and compliance activities by maintaining accurate documentation and records.Logistics & Coordination
Coordinate logistics activities for packed and shipped items to ensure smooth material flow.Work closely with warehouse, logistics, and transportation teams to minimize handling and storage costs.Support continuous improvement initiatives across inventory and logistics processes.Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Collaborate with procurement, demand planning, operations, and logistics teams to align supply plans.Provide input into process improvements and best practices in inventory planning and control.Prepare and present inventory insights, risks, and action plans to stakeholders as required.Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong understanding of inventory planning and control principlesPurchase order management and supply chain coordinationAnalytical skills with ability to interpret reports and dataERP system experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilityEffective communication and stakeholder managementKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Service level / fill rate performanceInventory turns and stock holding levelsReduction in excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventoryPurchase order accuracy and on-time deliveryERP data accuracy and complianceAdditional information: This job required 5days working from office.
