Job Description
The Supply Chain Planner manages the completion of deliverables for assigned programs, including new contracts and production. This role involves partnering with IPT leads, program managers, and customers to establish technical requirements, develop project plans, and identify risks and opportunities. The planner will facilitate and monitor cost reduction activities directly related to the program and suppliers while supporting product cost, performance, schedule, and quality objectives. Additionally, the planner is responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and performance metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Responsibilities
+ Drive conversations, expectations, and activities to meet all program milestones.
+ Establish and execute feasible material schedules aligned with engineering and production requirements according to program milestones.
+ Coordinate schedules, supplier product development, and meet Bill of Material (BOM) cost objectives.
+ Assess and evaluate Engineering Change Notice (ECN) changes impacting program schedules.
+ Cascade Master Scheduler forecasting actions to support first builds and ECN changes into production.
+ Address daily and future shortages with purchasing and production to meet weekly ship-set delivery commitments.
+ Provide daily support to Program Managers.
+ Oversee 'Line of Balance' analysis to support program long lead buys (Customer Sponsored Orders).
+ Revise schedules according to qualification plans, established priorities, and availability of parts & materials.
+ Collaborate with all functions to ensure buy-in and adherence to the production schedule.
+ Update the organization on material flow impact of schedule changes.
+ Drive transaction discipline ensuring materials are available to support the build schedule.
+ Ensure compliance with industry standards and procedures, including safety, quality, and security.
+ Lead supply chain schedules and key supply chain actions with suppliers and operations team.
+ Produce and provide Supply Chain 'Risk' analysis to program team and lead cross-functional team to resolve issues timely.
+ Ensure purchasing execution aligns with program requirements, focusing on supplier on-time delivery (SOTD) and cost management.
+ Interface with purchasing agents and subcontract suppliers on delivery schedule, cost, and contract inquiries.
+ Support Supplier Development in capacity and capability assessment of key program suppliers.
+ Assess engineering changes for supply chain liability and communicate changes to the Purchasing team.
+ Support emergency purchasing and on-site needs as required.
+ Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
+ Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment, adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required
+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management preferred
+ Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
+ Intermediate/proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
+ Ability to deliver information to all levels of the organization, including leadership
+ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish cooperative working relationships
+ Ability to provide information regarding tasks, plans, schedule, and strategy to stakeholders
Work Environment
The Supply Chain Planner will work on the manufacturing floor, collaborating with engineering, customers, Program Managers, Master Scheduler, and the planning team. Coordination with all departments is necessary to meet production goals. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM, with potential flexibility if needed.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Santa Maria, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $48.08/hr.
