The Manager, Supply Chain Planning & Control is responsible for product inbound and storage management in the warehouse network. Activities include monitoring of inventory levels and accuracy in the facilities; placing purchase orders with manufacturers and coordinating all inbound deliveries to ensure on time delivery and availability in to the warehouse network. This position is responsible for purchase planning, inventory control, cost control, and materials reporting as required to ensure the uninterrupted flow of materials to meet customer requirements. The scope of responsibility includes managing the day to day replenishment activities from manufacturer purchase order placement to stocking of inventory in warehouses. This position is responsible for ensuring that all required processes and procedures are implemented and followed that ensure the stock levels are available in the right quantities, and the right place, and at the right time. Product responsibilities include product management from system set up to steady state product availability.Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages the position Analyst, Supply Chain Planning & Control – establish goalsReceives requests manually and electronically for goods and services from departments and ensures proper procurement/sourcing in accordance with federal and state statutes as well as company policies and procedures.Manages the flow of products in specified quality and quantities to meet customer requirementsCreates and maintains accurate purchase ordersCreates call offs for products, as required, to maintain sufficient network stock levels, through the Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) processIdentifies possible stock out situations and suggest action plan to rectifyFollows up on inbound deliveriesManages product flow from Purchase Order placement to warehouse booking of stock into available inventory statusManages stock levels in the warehouse to optimize storage and handling cost requirementsMaintains positive relationship with suppliers all the timeResolve issues regarding supplier performance, product performance, discrepancies, and damage claims.Reviews and reports key account/key supplier forecasts to suppliers.Oversees and ensures the accuracy of information is received from forecast, warehousing and physical inventoriesManages product requirements of forecasts, correlate forecast requirements and ordering parameters, and distribution constraintsEnsures products are purchased in accordance with calculated forecastsUses customer flight schedules and “Bill of Materials” (BOM) program to determine quantities of all customer-required productsGenerates purchase orders to ensure product is available through the supply chain to meet consumption requirementsWorks with internal systems which include Ross, LOGIC, i3PL, ePix & ForecasterPrepares administrative reports as requiredCollaborates within and across teams to complete projectsQualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain managementWork Experience:
5+ years of material purchasing, forecasting, supply chain management experience preferredKnowledge of supply chain management within the airline industry a plusTechnical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)
Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Excel, Word and AccessExcellent analytical skills and problem solving skillKnowledge of statistical software a plusMust be detailed oriented and self motivatedMust have the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environmentLanguage / Communication Skills:
