Supply Chain Manager
Job Title: Supply Chain ManagerJob Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee material sourcing, supplier relationships, and procurement activities. This role is critical in ensuring the availability of materials and components required for our production processes, while also managing supplier compliance and optimizing purchasing strategies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of market trends, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to lead and mentor a team.

ResponsibilitiesAssess current material availability and forecast future availability based on market trends and delivery systems.Ensure materials, components, and finished goods are sourced efficiently to meet production requirements.Maintain strong relationships with primary board and material manufacturers, ensuring they meet quality and delivery standards.Engage with parts distributors to source hard-to-find and obsolete components required for legacy board builds.Collaborate with internal teams to provide clear communication regarding lead times, material availability, and order status.Manage the entire order process lifecycle, from material availability to delivery tracking and customer receipt.Process purchase orders for materials, supplies, equipment, and services, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Leverage authorized distribution channels to negotiate the lowest prices and fastest turnaround times for materials and services.Conduct international benchmarking to influence make/buy strategies and supplier selection.Manage the re-cost process to establish accurate and competitive fixed standard costs for all parts.Ensure purchasing activities comply with the Corporate Suppliers Approval Process.Conduct technical evaluations of suppliers through the audit process and report results.Collaborate with the Parent Company on third-party license agreements and purchasing-related projects.Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and training to ensure effective performance.Essential Skills5-10+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.Ability to forecast material needs and manage complex supplier relationships.Deep understanding of market trends, supplier evaluation processes, and compliance.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Additional Skills & QualificationsMaster’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPIM) are a plus.Proven experience in leading and developing a team preferred.Experience in Electronics Manufacturing, ideally relating to Ground to Air Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) systems is preferred.Tariff experience.Why Work Here?

The role is based in a brand new manufacturing facility with a nice office space. The facility is climate-controlled, clean, and organized, with day shift hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Overland Park, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $65.00/hr.
