Amazon Heavy & Bulky Logistics (AMXL) is seeking an experienced candidate to identify, create, develop and integrate innovative solutions and programs that lead to improvements in our last mile delivery network. This position will lead the development and execution of new worldwide transportation initiatives designed to improve overall efficiency and meet the ever-growing demand for last mile capacity.
Key job responsibilities
- Retrieve, analyze, and manage large datasets using Excel, SQL, and other data systems to support planning and scenario analysis.
- Execute scenario analysis across short-term, mid-term, and HVE horizons using standardized modeling frameworks.
- Run and maintain backlog, ship plan, and speed models, ensuring consistent logic and assumptions across horizons.
- Partner with execution teams to assess plan vs. actuals, identify risks, and recommend modeling improvements.
- Document modeling logic, assumptions, and outputs to ensure clarity, reproducibility, and continuity.
A day in the life
Review execution signals and performance data to understand where plans diverge from reality.
Build or refresh scenarios to evaluate demand, capacity, speed, and risk tradeoffs.
Collaborate with planning and execution partners to interpret results and validate assumptions.
Prepare clear scenario outputs or insights to support weekly planning alignment or upcoming HVEs.
Maintain documentation and refine models based on new learnings and feedback.
About the team
The Strategic Planning Team serves as the aligned planning nexus across First, Middle, and Last Mile, ensuring the network plans as one system.
We define the planning logic, scenarios, and mechanisms that connect execution reality to strategic decisions across all planning horizons.
Our work enables leaders to anticipate risk, evaluate tradeoffs, and make confident decisions during both steady-state operations and high-volume events
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- 2+ years of supply chain experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
