This position will lead the development and execution of new worldwide transportation initiatives designed to improve overall efficiency and meet the ever-growing demand for last mile capacity.
Key job responsibilities
- Retrieve, analyze, and manage large datasets using Excel, SQL, and other data systems to support planning and scenario analysis.
- Execute scenario analysis across short-term, mid-term, and HVE horizons using standardized modeling frameworks.
- Run and maintain backlog, ship plan, and speed models, ensuring consistent logic and assumptions across horizons.
- Partner with execution teams to assess plan vs. actuals, identify risks, and recommend modeling improvements.
- Document modeling logic, assumptions, and outputs to ensure clarity, reproducibility, and continuity.
A day in the life
- Review execution signals and performance data to understand where plans diverge from reality.
- Build or refresh scenarios to evaluate demand, capacity, speed, and risk tradeoffs.
- Collaborate with planning and execution partners to interpret results and validate assumptions.
- Prepare clear scenario outputs or insights to support weekly planning alignment or upcoming HVEs.
- Maintain documentation and refine models based on new learnings and feedback.
About the team
The Strategic Planning Team serves as the aligned planning nexus across First, Middle, and Last Mile, ensuring the network plans as one system.
We define the planning logic, scenarios, and mechanisms that connect execution reality to strategic decisions across all planning horizons.
Our work enables leaders to anticipate risk, evaluate tradeoffs, and make confident decisions during both steady-state operations and high-volume events
