Job Description
We are seeking a Supply Chain Logistics Analyst to develop and maintain key operating indicators, metrics, and ad-hoc reports to enhance functional areas and vendor performance. The role involves overseeing freight, logistics, and warehouse expenses to drive Supply Chain decisions and ensure enterprise-wide profitability. You will lead initiatives for insurance claims for goods damaged in-transit and coordinate ad-hoc shipments as needed. The position also includes researching and resolving customer complaints related to product delivery conditions and supporting Trade Compliance projects.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain key operating indicators, metrics, and ad-hoc reports.Propose and implement process improvements based on performance results.Oversee freight, logistics, and warehouse expenses.Work with Sales and Marketing to analyze freight costs.Initiate insurance claims for goods damaged in-transit.Maintain current freight charges for outbound sales shipments.Research and resolve customer complaints related to product delivery conditions.Lead and support Supply Chain and Trade Compliance projects.Present key results and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.Essential Skills8 years of experience in global supply chain roles within the pharmaceutical industry.Strong logistics analysis skills.Experience with tariffs.Analytical and reporting background, expert in Excel.Experience reviewing freight and logistics expenses.Knowledge of global supply chain regulations (GMP and FDA).Preferred SAP experience to minimize training delays.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsProject management skills.Supply chain certifications such as CPIM, APICS, PMP (preferred).Background in international logistics.Exposure to highly regulated businesses.
Work Environment
The position follows a hybrid schedule, with three days onsite and two days remote, based out of the Gaithersburg office. Standard working hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The team structure includes a director and several team members, promoting a collaborative work environment.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $54.00 - $64.00/hr.
