Job Title: Seed Logistics Assistant
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Seed Logistics Assistant to join our dynamic seed logistics and analyst team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting multiple activities and leveraging various databases to ensure timely delivery and efficient order placement within our seed logistics network.

ResponsibilitiesOrder seed through multiple workstreams.Source seed for a seamless workflow to the operation.Conduct demand planning and create reports.Track seed from point of ordering to end destination.Ensure quality tracking for all seed movements.Maintain accurate records through ERP, web-based, and windows-based systems.Communicate effectively when issues arise.Pay attention to detail for extended periods of time.Support planning and execution of multiple aspects of seed warehouse operations.Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, company safety policies, protocols, and procedures.Promote a safe working environment for self and team members.Implement 5S principles and regularly clean work areas, equipment, and tools.Assist other areas of research center planning operations during downtime from core responsibilities.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Agribusiness or equivalent.Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Office suite, web-based applications, and ERP systems.Excellent communication skills.Ability to troubleshoot databases.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Flexibility to work extended days and weekends during peak seasons.Ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in supply chain management, SAP ERP systems.Prior role as Logistics Specialist or Supply Chain Coordinator.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment includes a modern, temperature-controlled facility with a 250,000 square-foot office and attached warehouse. The facility features a comfortable break room and lockers for personal belongings. The role operates on the first shift from 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday, with potential flexibility and up to 10 hours of overtime during peak season (January-April). The dress code is business casual, with steel toe shoes and hi-vis/long sleeves required when on the warehouse floor. The team comprises around 100 people, with a close-knit group of 4 current members welcoming you as the 5th team member. This is a Contract position based out of Grimes, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
