Supply Chain Consultant
Job Title: Supply Chain ConsultantJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Consultant to lead and manage our integrated Material and Production Planning team. The ideal candidate will establish performance standards, evaluate team performance, and ensure compliance with company policies. This role involves collaborating with various departments to coordinate production schedules and manage vendor relationships to drive timely delivery and manage costs effectively.

ResponsibilitiesHire, train, coach, and manage an integrated Material and Production Planning team.Establish and uphold performance standards.Evaluate individual and team performance regularly.Ensure compliance with company policies.Meet leadership’s goals using the company's IMPACT values: Innovation, Motivation, Passion, Accountability, Communication, and Trust.Facilitate collaborative communication with Production Management, Warehousing, and Engineering.Coordinate daily and weekly reviews of communication documents for current and upcoming supply issues.Engage and escalate unresolved issues to drive vendor on-time performance and production shortage resolution.Ensure timely processing using ERP system-based information for internal visibility.Cultivate and support vendor relationships related to projects and initiatives for Supply Chain as needed.Identify vendors, establish vendor standards and SLAs, and monitor and evaluate performance focusing on timely delivery, quality, and cost management.Collaborate with other departments to achieve corporate targets and improve organizational efficiency with a focus on material availability and expediting.Meet productivity standards as required for this position.Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Essential SkillsStrong team delegation and management skills.Over 10 years of supply chain experience within manufacturing.Proven supply chain problem-solving experience.Proficiency in supply chain management, purchasing, procurement, negotiation, and vendor management.Proven success managing teams.Minimum of 7 years of experience in purchasing and/or production planning management.Strong analytical and organizational skills.Experience with ERP systems, preferably Vantage or Epicor.Advanced Excel skills including functions such as V-lookup.Strong oral and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience with high volume, high variability supply chains.Experience in large durable goods manufacturing.Familiarity with project management, contract negotiation, and supply chain processes.Self-directed and motivated.Ability to manage multiple detail-oriented tasks under tight deadlines.Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Darien, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $68.00/hr.
