Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst
Job Description
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for managing 15-20 suppliers primarily for the plant, as well as handling inventory management for both local and headquarters plants if a supplier provides parts to both locations. This position involves managing purchase orders (POs), including those that are received, delayed, or not received, and requires weekly communication with suppliers to obtain open order reports detailing PO shipments. The analyst is tasked with conducting 5Y and Root Cause investigations for any order requiring expedited fees or missing shipment dates, implementing permanent corrective actions with management support.
Responsibilities
+ Focus on tactical projects and contribute to strategic initiatives.
+ Represent the supply chain in cross-functional business unit teams.
+ Propose, implement, and support multi-site or high-level business tools and process enhancements.
+ Analyze and document processes using standards and methodologies.
+ Analyze logistics costs, materials, and sources across the entire supply chain.
+ Recommend improvements based on supply chain analysis.
+ Lead integration of new high-level process changes.
+ Manage large projects related to supply chain changes.
+ Communicate project status to all levels of management.
+ Develop and deliver business plans or models for operations management and supply chain leaders.
+ Define high-risk or high-level problems, collect and analyze data, offer solutions, and implement them to achieve desired results.
+ Identify, develop, and complete strategic level work plans for the entire supply chain or high-risk projects.
+ Own, develop, and implement business processes and related improvements.
+ Facilitate small-medium teams with explicit objectives and scope.
+ Manage entire supply chain cross-functional projects.
+ Align project or process improvement goals with functional business objectives.
+ Work independently across the entire supply chain in a non-hierarchical organization.
+ Provide back-up support for area coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
+ Lead tactical projects of 3 to 5 people or direct work within projects or process improvement activities.
+ Provide indirect work direction to individuals assigned to strategic projects.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including V-lookups and Pivot Tables.
+ Experience with SAP S/4 HANA (2-3 years post-college).
+ Bachelor's Degree, with a preference for a Supply Chain degree.
+ Ability to conduct 5Y or 8D Investigations for Root Cause Analysis and implement Permanent Corrective Actions.
+ Experience in procurement, inventory management, and vendor management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Automotive industry experience.
+ Experience with companies of similar size, managing 22 million in inventory, 6500-7000 parts for North America Material controlled plant.
+ Understanding of Material Master.
Work Environment
The work environment is casual/business casual, with a standard 40-hour work week. Flexibility is offered as needed, provided it is not taken advantage of. The role supports a company undergoing a new SAP implementation.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Holland, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
