Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst
Job Description
The Supply Chain Analyst will play a crucial role in managing 15-20 suppliers predominantly for the plant. If a supplier provides parts to both the local plant and headquarters, the analyst will oversee inventory management for both locations. This position involves managing purchase orders (POs) received, delayed, or not received, and requires communication with suppliers primarily through email and occasionally by phone. The analyst will receive an open order report from suppliers every Monday detailing PO shipments. In cases of expedited fees or missed shipment dates, the analyst will conduct a 5Y and Root Cause investigation to determine the cause of shortages and implement permanent corrective actions with management support.
Responsibilities
+ Focus on tactical projects with some strategic initiatives.
+ Represent the supply chain on cross-functional business unit teams.
+ Propose, implement, and support multi-site or high-level business tools and process enhancements (continuous process improvement).
+ Analyze and document processes using standards and methodologies.
+ Analyze the entire supply chain including logistics costs, materials, and sources.
+ Recommend improvements based on supply chain analysis.
+ Lead integration of new high-level process changes.
+ Manage large projects related to changes in the supply chain.
+ Communicate project status to all levels of management.
+ Develop and deliver business plans or models for operations management and other supply chain leaders.
+ Define high-risk or high-level problems, collect and analyze data, offer solutions, and implement to achieve desired results.
+ Identify, develop, and complete strategic level work plans for the entire supply chain or high-risk projects.
+ Own, develop, and implement business processes and related improvements.
+ Facilitate small-medium teams with explicit objectives and scope.
+ Manage entire supply chain cross-functional projects.
+ Align project or process improvement goals with functional business objectives.
+ Work independently across the entire supply chain and thrive in a non-hierarchical organization.
+ Provide backup support for area coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
+ Lead tactical projects involving 3 to 5 people or direct the work of others within projects or process improvement activities.
+ Provide indirect work direction to individuals assigned to strategic projects.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with SAP (2-3 years post-college).
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
+ Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain.
+ Experience in procurement, inventory, inventory management, and vendor management.
+ Ability to conduct 5Y and Root Cause analysis.
+ Understanding of Material Master.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Automotive industry experience.
+ Experience with companies of similar size, managing 22 million in inventory and 6500-7000 parts for the North America Material controlled plant.
+ Ability to manage inventory for both local and headquarters plants if suppliers provide parts to both.
+ Capability to run own 5Y or 8D investigations, and implement permanent corrective actions for shortages.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.65/hr.
