Supplier Quality Technician

Job Description: Supplier Quality Technician

The Supplier Quality Technician will play a key role in monitoring production assembly processes to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with customer requirements and our Quality Management System. The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work with a diverse range of personnel including engineers, manufacturing staff, and various management resources. The technician will provide engineering assistance for lot acceptance test requirements, write and incorporate detailed work instructions, and conduct quality audits with formal reporting of findings.

Responsibilities

Monitor production assembly processes to improve efficiency.Participate in production team meetings to drive continuous improvement.Establish and monitor inspection plans based on customer acceptance criteria.Ensure compliance with customer requirements and Quality Management System.Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing personnel, and management resources.Provide engineering assistance for lot acceptance test requirements.Write and incorporate detailed work instructions.Plan and conduct quality audits and report findings formally.

Essential Skills

5+ years of experience in Quality.Proficiency in quality engineering, ISO 9001, corrective action, and audit control plans.Experience with GD&T, defense industry, and government compliance.Experience with supplier quality audits and process auditing.Strong knowledge in metrology and basic hand gauging (e.g., Optical Comparators, Smart Scope, Micrometers, Calipers).Comfortable with inspections in a shop floor/assembly environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with Keyence systems and experience operating CMM's.Experience with line automation and CI projects.Knowledge in PPAP, corrective action plans, and quality assurance.First article inspection, Minitab, and root cause analysis.5+ years of experience.An associate-level degree is preferred but not required.Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Janesville, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/yr.

Eligible for Full Time Benefits through end client.
